Christmas with the family
It was literally at the crack of Christmas Day and everyone was dead tired. The family took a gazillion ten-shot custom timer pictures. The gifts were either a hit or miss, but all that matters is the thought behind those gifts, even if it doesn't seem like it. Basically, I recieved lots of goodies, especially from my mom. She totally hit the spot (no offense to anyone intended, but many thanks still!): shopping spree, Chanel earrings, wallet, Chicken Noodle Soup book, clutch, mini skirt, and I believe there were more but I cannot recall at the moment. Christmas was absolutely blissful and beautiful.
Rose Float Freeze
Went to volunteer in Pasadena for the Rose Floats. The city was looking beautiful with its winter atmosphere: leave-less trees, cloudy sky, and freezing cold weather: just how I like it (when I have the appropriate attire that is, but I did not during this day). We got on the road at 230PM, came there at 330ish. We stood in line until 6PM waiting for jobs, but we got nothing. I felt like the illegal immigrants at Home Depot or painting places (no offense). This just shows how bad our economy is with no jobs to offer, not even to volunteers. We ate some burgers off the grill, but it instantly became cold once it was off of it. We tried to keep warm with hot chocolate, but me not having hot chocolate for years, forgot how hot that devil drink can be; therefore, I burned my tongue, twice. It was worth it because I regained feeling to my face and throat. We were desperate for heat. The lady finally assigned us jobs around 830PM which lasted until 840PM, no joke. We finally headed back home around 11PM. We basically stood out in the freezing cold for 7 hours for a good 10 minute job. God bless America! Got home around 1230AM without anymore feelings whatsoever in my body. Wonderful.
New Year Baby
I am too lazy transfer pictures of this day on here, but basically went to Disneyland with my princess for the eve of the new year. Started the day early at 8AM, but it seems like we weren't the only ones. There were swarms of people everywhere. It was ridiculous. I had this mentality that I was going to get pick-pocketed, but I didn't! I haven't been to this "happiest place on Earth" since I was a little lass. Everything was different, yet the same. If you catch my drift. I enjoyed my time there very much and it was absolutely perfect although I was freezing my butt off. It's okay, I had something to keep me warm while I was there. The prices of the food where preposterous; overpriced food makes me lose my appetite. I began my new year with a wonderful start. For the rest of the day of the new year, my family and I went to go watch my papa's aikido demonstration. I still remember some of the people there at the dojo, but everything else was unfamiliar. I bumped in to a relative and we caught up. Baby girl is growing up so fast! It just breaks my heart. After that morning wake up call, we hit the road making use of my mama's new GPS. I was super tired from the day before, so I didn't have enough energy to deal with any shopping centers, although I did score some stuff. I got a mini skirt, a lace bra, and sweat pants. I have been digging the mini skirts for some apparent reason and lace bras are my definition of bras, but as for the sweat pants, I felt as if I needed some comfy bottoms added to my wardrobe of lazy-trash wear. After I got home, I knocked out instantly. I woke up and the little princess came over to "watch" Buffalo '66. Now I am ending my night to a bowl of rice and noodles while watching some movie in my DVD collection. Good night America.
XOXO
